3 Sept 2025: Botheration @ Duffys Bar, Leicester:

Sheila Mosley… i like a huge range of music but my first loves remain folk music and the 1960’s greenwich village troubadour tradition… and Sheila sits perfectly into this area… beautiful voice and singer Sheila delivers a range of songs from those genres, ranging form the strongly political social comment… especially her rivetting performance of Peggy Seeger’s defence after an incident at Greenham Common… and the more gentle love songs and ballads. A lovely mix of high class mainly familiar material and as she did last sunday, had me groping for a tissue with her closing “Another Train”… a song that means so much…
Sheila is a no frills just top quality great performer.. totally committed and sincere in every aspect… if you dont know her work go see her when you can… superb!!

31 August 2025: Support – singing Joan Baez songs @ Kenny Wilson’s Highway 61 revisited gig

Lovely Sunday afternoon at the International Arts Centre being entertained by Kenny, Al and Sheila.
First up was the excellent Sheila Mosley who put together a set based on the material Joan Baez was singing in the sixties… so many favourite songs… I always loved, and still do, the Greenwich Village musicians of the period… Kicking off with an acappella “Queen of Hearts” which fully illustrated the quality of her voice before delivering a set including songs by Hedy West and Phil Ochs as well as others, including of course Bob Dylan. i was especially delighted to hear “Farewell Angelina’ which I don’t recall having heard covered, it has always been a favourite mine.
Sheila made the point that so many of these songs are applicable today as they were when written… so true!!… she ended with a lovely version of “We Shall Overcome”. The set was beautiful, emotional and took me back to happy days discovering and listening to music.
